Blue Sky Bust in Nebraska

The first day of a two day chase over Memorial Day weekend. I expected linear modes, but was surprised with a cap bust.

Forecast

A later-season pattern in the Northern plains over Memorial Day weekend. I have a long standing rule of chasing on Memorial Day weekend, if it’s possible.

Positioning

This would mostly be a day to position for Monday the 30th, which looked like a tornado outbreak. With a strong trough ejecting into the northern plains, Adam and I left on Sunday morning with a target of somewhere near Columbus Nebraska.

We ended up spending most of the afternoon near Norfolk, Nebraska. Around sundown, we gave up and decided to get dinner in Yankton.
